Living Proof is a collaborative full-length project between Harlem rapper Dave East and legendary producer AraabMUZIK. Known for his gritty, narrative-driven street lyricism, Dave East teams with AraabMUZIK—famed for his rapid-fire MPC work and atmospheric, sample-heavy beats—to deliver a cohesive, dark, and sonically dense listening experience. The project originally gained traction through digital ZIP file downloads on mixtape sites like DatPiff, LiveMixtapes, and Mass Appeal’s official channels before landing on streaming platforms. Following his 2016 commercial mixtape Kairi Chanel (which featured the hit “Keisha”), Dave East was riding a wave of critical acclaim and street credibility. AraabMUZIK, a Providence native and former Diplomats affiliate, had already made his mark with instrumental projects like Electronic Dream and production for Cam’ron, Jadakiss, and ASAP Rocky.
