The final panel of the manga shows a silent, empty classroom. A notebook lies on a desk. The wind blows the pages open.

Across the cavernous space, Near sits cross-legged on a metal crate, his white hair a stark contrast to the gloom. He fiddles with a miniature finger puppet, his expression unreadable. Behind him, the SPK agents stand at attention, guns holstered but hands near the grips.
