MNU scientists discovered the horrifying truth: The fluid was alien DNA. It was rewriting Wikus’s genetic code. Even worse—his body was now the only key to activating the alien weaponry.

And in a junkyard, a single, fully transformed Prawn sat alone. Using scrap metal, he folded a small flower—the same kind his human wife once loved. He looked up at the sky. District 9 Sub Indo

The mothership shot into the clouds. Christopher and C.J. were gone. MNU covered up everything. They declared Wikus van de Merwe dead.

But in the dark corners of District 9, now abandoned and half-destroyed, the other Prawns remained—still waiting.

MNU did not help him. Instead, they imprisoned him, planning to surgically dissect him alive to harvest his now-alien organs. Wikus escaped into the only place the authorities wouldn't follow him: . Part 4: Unlikely Alliance (Aliansi Tak Terduga) Inside the slum, Wikus was hunted by Nigerian gangsters led by a brutal warlord named Obesandjo . Obesandjo believed that eating Prawn flesh would grant him alien powers. His men cornered Wikus—but Christopher Johnson, the Prawn whose fuel he had stolen, saved him.

"Wikus... aku akan kembali. Aku janji. Dalam tiga tahun." (Wikus... I will return. I promise. In three years.)

Christopher revealed the truth: The black fluid was fuel for a hidden command module buried under District 9. That module could activate the mothership. If activated, it would call for help—and save all the Prawns. Tapi suatu hari, ia akan datang

Enter (played by Sharlto Copley). A bumbling, awkward field operative, Wikus was tasked with serving eviction notices. His mission: Force the Prawns to sign relocation papers to District 10 , a new camp 200 kilometers away.

The Indonesian subtitles would shout: "Lindungi anak itu! Dia harapan kami!" (Protect the child! He is our hope!) — as C.J., Christopher’s son, carried the fuel canister toward the module. As the command module rose into the sky, Christopher dragged the wounded, half-transformed Wikus to safety. But MNU’s commander shot the module’s controls. The ship began to fall.

Wikus, now fully transforming, donned an alien mech-suit armed with a plasma cannon. He fought alongside Christopher, who piloted a smaller exo-suit. Together, they tore through the battlefield.
