If you own a Mac with an Apple M1, M2, or M3 chip, you can’t just run any old virtual machine software. Traditional versions of VMware Fusion (and many other x86-based VM tools) won’t work. Instead, you need VMware Fusion for Apple Silicon .
Make sure you select “VMware Fusion 13 for Apple Silicon” – not the Intel version.
