This paper examines the specific, yet ubiquitous, online activity of downloading “wallpaper pack ZIP files.” We analyze the motivations behind this behavior, the technical architecture of the ZIP container as a delivery mechanism, the aesthetic curation trends, and the significant cybersecurity risks posed by malicious archives.
