[The episode opens on the Sacred Land of Korin. Dende, Mr. Popo, Gohan, and Trunks stand around the crystal ball at the Lookout. Goku is still missing, having rushed off at the end of Episode 1.]

[A blinding flash of light erupts in the center of the Lookout. Everyone flinches. When the light fades, a tall, green-skinned being with a high-tech staff stands before them. He wears a sleeveless Supreme Kai outfit, but his insignia is the Western Galaxy symbol.]

"You cannot kill Xicor with strength alone, Son Goku. He is your equal in combat instinct. He was designed to counter you."

[Vegeta vanishes and reappears directly behind Xicor, firing a point-blank Galick Gun. The blast engulfs Xicor completely. But as the smoke clears, Xicor hasn't moved. He's holding the energy ball in one hand like a toy.]

[Just as Xicor raises a hand to finish Vegeta, a portal tears open in the sky. The West Kai drops through it, followed by Gohan and Trunks. The West Kai extends his staff, creating a barrier around Vegeta.]

(sharply): "Lower your energy. Now. You're all broadcasting your location to something far worse than Majin Buu."
