El Cuerpo The Body -

Her body didn’t answer in words. It answered in memory.

And her body — silently, faithfully — kept her standing. Your body is not an ornament to be looked at, but a companion to be listened to. Treat it with gratitude, not criticism. It has carried you through every single day of your life. That’s not nothing. That’s everything.

Then one night, lying awake with a knot in her shoulder and a weight in her chest, she whispered into the dark:

"Why won’t you cooperate?"

Thank you, legs, for carrying me to the kitchen. Thank you, hands, for holding my child’s face. Thank you, lungs, for breathing while I slept.

Her body didn’t need her praise. It didn’t need perfection. But it did need something small: acknowledgment.

And for the first time, she listened.

"You’ve been working for me this whole time," she said softly. "And I’ve been fighting you."

"We’re on the same team," she said.

Sofia hadn’t spoken to her body in years. el cuerpo the body

The scar on her knee — remember the fall from the bike? You got back on. The calloused feet — remember the summer you walked through three countries? You saw everything. The stomach that curved softly — remember the baby who slept here? You gave life.

Sofia placed a hand over her heart. It beat, steady and tireless, without ever being asked.
