The music of Fairy Tail is the unsung hero of the series. It elevates every "We are the guild" speech into a religious experience. If you stopped watching after the Grand Magic Games or got lost during the final season (the 2014/2019 animation switch was... rough), I get it. Ultear’s story is the pinnacle of this. A child manipulated and abandoned, who spent decades trying to turn back time to fix a past that wasn’t even her fault. Her final sacrifice ( "Arc of Time... Last Age" ) still makes me tear up. She didn't get a happy ending. She got a meaningful one.
