For the uninitiated, Haunted Acre tasks players with restoring a cursed, sentient plot of land. By day, you tend to ghostly crops (think glowing pumpkins and whispering wheat). By night, you defend your harvest from mischievous spirits, eldritch gophers, and the ever-looming dread of the “Mourning Wood.”
Another user praised the balance changes: “Mootilda’s cream finally works in the ‘Graveyard Glaze’ recipe. My scones are haunted and delicious.” Developer Cosmo Pickle (the namesake of the update) teased that v0.5.0 will focus on the long-abandoned “Cellar of Echoes” and a romanceable scarecrow named Rip. For now, players are encouraged to back up their saves, keep a lantern handy, and never— ever —leave the gate open after midnight.
Haunted Acre -v0.4.1- -Cosmo Pickle- is available now for Windows, Linux, and any toaster that runs Unity. Just don’t blame us if your hardware starts whispering about the harvest.
