Think about the sounds that have actually moved history. The chants of protestors. The roar of a stadium. The impassioned speech. The first chord of a revolution. All of it was loud. All of it risked being messy. All of it was noise.

Too often, we silence ourselves before we even begin. We edit the email three times to soften the ask. We whisper our dreams to a trusted friend instead of announcing them to the world. We keep our opinions to ourselves at the meeting, afraid of rocking the boat. Make Some Noise

We spend a lot of our lives trying to be quiet. Shhh in the library. Indoor voices in the restaurant. Don’t slam the door. Keep the volume down. There is a time and place for silence, no doubt. But there is also a time to crank the dial. Think about the sounds that have actually moved history
