Revit 2014 Template Download [2025]
Note: Autodesk officially ended support for Revit 2014 several years ago. You cannot download templates directly via the classic "Autodesk Desktop App" anymore. Below is the manual method to source and install these files. Autodesk does not offer individual RTE files for download. Instead, templates are packaged inside Content Packs (also known as Imperial or Metric Libraries).

If you are starting a new project in 2026, do not use Revit 2014. The file format is outdated, and you cannot share models with modern consultants. While Autodesk Revit has evolved significantly over the last decade, many firms and freelance professionals still maintain legacy projects in Revit 2014. Whether you are reopening an old permit set, need to audit historical data, or are supporting a client who never upgraded, having the correct file is critical.

This is an excellent summary on the attitude of the seeming majority of HST ‘admirers’.
It just makes me think that they read Fear and Loathing, looked up similar stories of HST’s unhinged behaviour and didn’t bother with the rest of his work.
There is such a raw, human element of Thompsons work, showing an amazing mind, sense of humour, critical thinking and an uncanny ability to have his finger on the pulse of many issues of his time.
Booze feature prominently in most of his writing and he is always flirting with ‘the edge’, but this obsession with remembering him more as Raoul Duke and less as Hunter Thompson, is a sad reflection of most ‘fans’; even if it was a self inflicted wound by Thompson himself.
