The train disappears.

That night, they sit on the library steps. For the first time, she sees his scar – a burn mark from a fire he caused as a child, which killed his parents. His stutter appears when he tries to explain. He stops, ashamed. Tara takes his hand

Cut to Mumbai. Tara is running the shelter. She wears the black thread on her wrist. A kind doctor (a new character, introduced subtly) asks her out for coffee. She politely declines.
