The game crashes less in a Windows VM on an M2 Mac than it ever did natively on my old Intel Mac running 32-bit. The Mac version always had a weird memory leak in the ‘Pit of Judgement’ cutscene. Now, running the Windows version via CrossOver? Rock solid at 1440p.

The Sims Medieval itself was never updated to 64-bit. The last official Mac version (from Aspyr, around 2011) is 32-bit, so it won’t run on macOS Catalina or later (10.15+) without workarounds. Rock solid at 1440p
